Efficacy and Characteristics
- Indications: Treatment of erectile dysfunction in men; requires sexual stimulation to be effective.
- Mechanism of Action: Increases blood flow to the corpora cavernosa by inhibiting phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), thus helping to improve erectile function.
- Advantages: Compared with similar drugs, it has a longer duration of action (up to 36 hours), and its absorption is not affected by a high-fat diet.
Usage Instructions
- Dosage: Take as needed. The recommended starting dose is 10mg (half a tablet), taken 30 minutes to 1 hour before sexual activity. The dose can be adjusted to 20mg (one tablet) based on individual results. The maximum dose within 24 hours should not exceed 20mg.
Contraindications:
1. Not for use by patients currently taking nitrates (such as nitroglycerin);
2. Not for use by patients with severe cardiovascular disease or severe hepatic or renal insufficiency;
Precautions:
1. This is a prescription drug and requires a doctor's prescription for use;
2. Mild adverse reactions such as headache and indigestion may occur, but are usually tolerable;
3. Avoid concurrent use with alcohol or potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (such as ketoconazole).
